I don’t tend to initiate hate or anger, but I do mirror it back. I think this is common. If two people are like this, a momentary misperception of hate/anger can trip up the entire relationship. Like infinity mirrors, two people mirror and amplify one another’s anger and hate. They see a warped version of one another, because 1) their vision is clouded by their own hate, and 2) the other person is grotesque because of their own anger.
Both people can say, truthfully, that the other person is ugly. Or a monster. But they don’t see that they are a monster too. The monstrosity of others is more understandable when you realize you’re a monster too.
